As a VAT Team Member, your responsibilities will encompass a variety of vital tasks, ensuring the smooth and accurate handling of VAT matters. The role demands precision, efficiency, and excellent communication skills to deliver exceptional service to both clients and internal teams. Your key duties will include:

Bookkeeping:

Maintaining meticulous financial records to ensure that all VAT transactions are accurately recorded and updated in a timely manner.

Allocations:

Processing and allocating payments efficiently, ensuring VAT liabilities and recoveries are correctly reflected in client accounts.

Calculations:

Undertaking detailed VAT calculations, ensuring compliance with the relevant tax regulations and deadlines.

Client Communication:

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing clear and prompt responses to VAT-related queries and requests.

Submissions:

Preparing and submitting VAT returns in compliance with all statutory requirements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Enquiries:

Managing VAT-related enquiries, liaising with both clients and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and provide solutions.

Maintain Client List & Records:

Keeping client records organised, up-to-date, and accessible, ensuring seamless access to all required documentation.

Maintain Trackers:

Updating and managing trackers to monitor the progress of VAT submissions, payments, and other key tasks.

Email Management:

Handling VAT-related email correspondence efficiently, ensuring all communications are addressed promptly and professionally.
We are seeking individuals who are driven by a passion for learning and take the initiative in their work. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, organised, and proactive in their approach to tasks, ensuring that all deadlines are met with precision and care.

Ideal Experience:



Familiarity with Capium or other accounting software, and comfortable working within a digital environment. Prior experience in VAT assessments, understanding the nuances of VAT compliance and returns.

Essential Skills & Experience:



Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS Word. Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel, including working with VLOOKUPs, IF statements, and Pivot Tables. Previous experience in a professional office environment, with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and communicate effectively.
