The Role: What You'll Be Doing



As VAT Manager, you will be a confident and technically strong individual in dealing with VAT matters in the Practice environment. You'll support clients across various industries, liaise with HMRC, and help drive the success of our VAT function.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide VAT advice to clients across regional, national, and international markets. Maintain and update VAT procedure documentation. Support clients during HMRC VAT inspections and enquiries. Conduct VAT Health Checks and other advisory projects. Assist with VAT service marketing and promotion. Manage project work, including fee agreements and billing. Provide VAT advice to staff and keep clients informed about VAT updates and regulatory changes. Research and resolve complex VAT queries. Mentor and support junior team members, depending on experience.

What We're Looking For:



Essential Skills & Qualifications:



A motivated professional committed to developing their career. Excellent communication skills and ability to interact at all levels. IT literacy with experience using accounting and tax software. Extensive technical VAT experience, whether in practice or HMRC. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to research and resolve complex VAT issues.

Desirable Skills & Qualifications:



A professional qualification such as ACA/ACCA and/or CTA is highly desirable.
