As a VAT Manager, you will become part of a professional, enthusiastic and driven tax team. You will be responsible for providing expert guidance on Value Added Tax (VAT) matters to clients or internal stakeholders. You will oversee and manage all aspects of VAT compliance, planning, and advisory activities across the business. This role requires strong technical VAT knowledge, experience with multi-jurisdictional VAT regulations, and the ability to manage relationships with tax authorities and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities



Compliance & Risk Management:

Ensure full VAT compliance across all applicable jurisdictions, including accurate and timely preparation and submission of VAT returns. Identify, assess, and manage VAT risks associated with business operations and transactions, implementing strategies to mitigate them. Review and reconcile VAT accounts and ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping for audit trail. Manage indirect tax audits and liaise with tax authorities as needed.

Provide Expert Advisory:

Provide VAT advisory support to internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, procurement, sales) on business transactions, projects, and new business initiatives. Stay abreast of changes in VAT legislation globally and in relevant jurisdictions, ensuring timely implementation of these changes to maintain compliance. Advise on cross-border transactions, supply chain structuring, and VAT recovery issues.

Project Management:

Lead and manage VAT advisory projects from scoping through to delivery. Coordinate other Indirect Tax teams on VAT rules and implications. Prepare and review internal procedures, memos, and correspondence. Collaborate with IT and systems teams to ensure ERP/tax systems support accurate VAT reporting.

Client & Stakeholder Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, business stakeholders, and other tax professionals. Prepare and provide technical support and VAT training to other business partners.
