About the Role

As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you will support our vets and nurses in delivering exceptional care to our patients. You'll help with daily animal care tasks, maintain clean and safe facilities, assist during clinical procedures, and ensure our clients feel welcomed and informed. This role will also encompass some hours on reception where you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. Your organisational skills and attention to detail will contribute significantly to our commitment to animal care and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with feeding, grooming, exercising, and monitoring animals Safely restrain animals during examinations and treatments Prepare consultation rooms and equipment for procedures Support vets and nurses during examinations and diagnostic tests Clean and disinfect kennels, clinical areas, and instruments Maintain accurate patient records and assist with reception duties Provide clients with basic care advice as directed by clinical staff

About You

Genuine love for animals and compassion for their wellbeing Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Comfortable with cleaning duties and physically active work Team player with a positive, proactive attitude Previous animal care experience or relevant qualifications desirable
