If you were to join us as a Vehicle Preparation Assistant, here is what you want to know:

• Salary: \xc2\xa326,400pa (\xc2\xa311.95 per hour) plus bonus
• Location: Maidstone
• Shift pattern: 5 over 7 , This will include the weekends as we are a 7 day retail business
• Hours: 42.5 hrs per week
• Contract type: Permanent

• Due to the nature of the role we will require you to have held a driving licence for more than a year*

About the role

Our Yard department is a key department on every site, our fantastic Vehicle Preparation Assistants support the business by providing a hands-on operational service managing cars as they arrive on site. Working closely with colleagues and customers, you will manage your work via an app that creates a computer-based list to work from and facilitate the collection of vehicles in a timely and efficient manner. You will complete basic mechanical maintenance as and when required.

What will my Day to Day look like?

• Checking in cars in all weathers, managing our in-house IT systems
• On a daily basis you will be checking vehicles for damage, checking all vehicle specification and service history and completing inspection data for vehicle loading
• This is a fast-paced role so the ability to stay calm and maintain excellent attention to detail as well as the desire to produce high quality work is really important
• Support with the recondition of vehicles and the preparation for collection and pitch
• Working outside with vehicles on display and being prepared for collection
• High attention to detail required to detect and rectify any issues outside of our standard

• Due to the nature of the role, you will need a full driving licence
• Be able to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
