We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicle types, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify faults and issues. Use schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems. Perform repairs and maintenance on vehicle systems, including engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, and electrical components. Utilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out assembly and repair tasks. Carry out welding and other fabrication work as required for vehicle repairs. Interpret technical drawings and schematics to facilitate accurate repairs. Assist with the installation of new parts and components. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair procedures and addressing client queries professionally.

Requirements

Proven experience in vehicle repair or maintenance roles. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic instruments. Experience in assembly, equipment repair, and general maintenance tasks. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Good organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients. Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive technology or related fields are desirable. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
