A well-established and growing provider of vending and refreshment solutions is seeking a skilled
Field Service Engineer
to join their technical team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in coffee or vending equipment to take ownership of a defined territory in London, delivering high-quality service and support to a loyal client base.
The Role:
You'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing a range of coffee and vending machines across your assigned area. The role is field-based, with a focus on building strong client relationships and ensuring equipment is operating at peak performance. You'll work closely with the service desk and wider technical team to deliver both planned and reactive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Maintenance
Install and commission vending and coffee machines at client sites.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise breakdowns.
Respond to reactive service calls within agreed SLAs.
Troubleshooting & Repairs
Diagnose and repair faults across electrical, mechanical, and software systems.
Source and fit spare parts efficiently to minimise downtime.
Customer Support
Provide on-site technical support and guidance to clients.
Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.
Reporting & Documentation
Complete service reports and maintain accurate records of visits, machine status, and parts usage.
Compliance & Stock Management
Adhere to health and safety standards and company procedures.
Manage van stock and report replenishment needs.
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience in a field service role, ideally within vending, coffee machines, or similar technical environments.
Strong technical knowledge of electromechanical systems.
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
Confident working independently and managing your own schedule.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Desirable:
Experience with brands such as Cimbali, WMF, Coffetek, or Evoca.
Familiarity with remote monitoring systems and vending software.
Relevant technical qualifications (electrical, mechanical, or engineering).
Other Requirements:
Full UK driving licence (clean and valid).
