Job Description

We are looking for a candidate above the age of 25 to fill the position of ventilation systems installers mate who will be offered a permanent position to join our existing installation teams subject to 6 months trail.
Previous experience installing ventilation systems is not required although would be beneficial for the position of Installers Mate.

You MUST have a relevant and in date CSCS card to work on construction sites, a labourers card would be acceptable to start but a more specific to the trade card will need to be applied for.

You should have good experience and knowledge working with hand tools and cordless power tools etc.
As a mate you will be given the opportunity to develop your knowledge base and skill set encouraging you to progress to installation engineer should you wish to do so.
The job is generally of a physical nature and a good level of fitness is required along with a conscientious attitude to work and a polite approach when working with others. Your role will be to work alongside of one of our installation engineers based in Heanor area therefore we are primarily looking for candidates within 5 to 10 miles of this area.
As you will be teamed with one of our installers you will be picked up and dropped off and we provide a company vehicle to travel to our workshop and direct to worksites therefore a drivers licence is required for all applicants and for insurance reasons applicants should be 25 years old or above.
You will be provided with workwear and PPE.
Our work is mainly on new build sites installing bedroom, restaurant and kitchen ventilation systems although we also take on the more challenging bespoke projects.
The projects we typically do are short term and can be anything from a single day to 6 months.
As we work nationally, you must be prepared to work away from home through the week Monday to Friday when required and when doing so you are provided with good quality accommodation along with a generous 50.00 a night allowance to cover your expenses.
Working away is not always to be expected as jobs within 1 1/2 - 2 hours may be deemed to be travel only.
We do require from time to time for our site installation teams to assist with production in our workshop so a flexible approach will be required by successful applicants.
You will be paid door to door when travelling to a site address directly from your home and back.
A valid CSCS MATE card is essential, preferably relating to ventilation, and any other training you have will be beneficial.
You are not normally expected to work weekends as your typical week is usually 40 - 60+ hours but an occasional requirement may occur.
We operate a monthly pay basis.
Hourly rates are competitive and will be discussed further should your application reach the interview stage.
This is a permanent position with the benefits of 28 days holiday plus an additional bonus holiday day for every 1 years service upto to a maximum of 5 bonus days, also there is a company pension scheme and several other perks.
