Work closely with the Events Team Leader and Senior Events Assistant in the organisation and delivery of events at the Kent Event Centre.
Support existing corporate clients by providing quotations, arranging site visits, booking external contractors, and ensuring all elements of their event are executed to the highest standards while maintaining excellent client relationships.
Liaise and build strong working relationships with internal teams and external contractors to ensure the smooth execution of all events and conferences.
Prepare detailed event and conference contracts, including timelines and logistics. Coordinate closely with hospitality, AV, and operations teams to ensure every detail is delivered as agreed.
Deliver prompt, professional responses to client queries and requests.
Support the Hospitality Coordinator with on-site event setup and client servicing as required, including evenings and weekends.
Represent the Kent Event Centre at networking events, exhibitions, and industry functions as an ambassador for the organisation.
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, lead generation, and follow-ups to convert prospects into clients.
Initiate outbound contact with potential clients, conduct discovery calls, and arrange site visits to showcase the venue's capabilities and drive bookings.
Contribute to achieving sales targets and expanding the client base through innovative sales strategies, including upselling additional services to existing clients.
Maintain an up-to-date pipeline of potential clients and regularly report sales activity to the Events Team Leader.
Assist the General Manager and Society Events Team Leader with Society events as required, including administrative support and on-site assistance during events.
Take responsibility for organising and supporting volunteers involved in Society events, including communication, coordination, and logistics.
Organise the annual Stewards' Supper in December, ensuring the event is delivered smoothly and volunteers are appropriately acknowledged and thanked.
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder may be required to perform other duties assigned by the General Manager and Events Team Leader from time to time.
