Venue Staff

Manchester, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Manchester's iconic New Century Hall was transformed in 2022 after a 10m restoration and build. "New Century" is home to a live music, performance and events space; an eclectic mix of independent kitchens, and a creative college in the basement. The venue opened in the summer of 2022 and is located between Victoria Station and Shudehill, right at the heart of one of central Manchester's best connected areas, the 20 acre NOMA neighbourhood.

This remarkable Grade II listed building has been reborn as a new social destination spread across three floors, all of which will focus on nurturing talent, developing skills and creating new opportunities. Each aspect of the New Century ecosystem will complement one another with aptitude, education, live events and hospitality industries coming together to create an exciting new community for Manchester.

On the ground floor, seating up to 300 people, is New Century Kitchen - hosting independent food vendors, a central bar and an entertainment space to create a constantly evolving social hub that's full of energy from morning through to night.

Occupying the first floor is New Century Hall, a 1300 person capacity multi-functional venue that hosts concerts, club events, conferences and more. Home to state of the art lighting and sound systems, an original sprung dancefloor and a listed ceiling consisting of 1306 immersive lights and mid-century acoustic panelling, the Hall has seen some of the most iconic faces in music, from Noel Gallagher to Jimi Hendrix, and continues to facilitate hundreds of events every year.
