Come and join the team at the Mount Veterinary Practice, an independent, community focused practice based in Fleetwood, providing excellent service, communication and compassionate high-quality care for both our clients and patients. All members of the team enjoy building relationships with our clients and their pets. Although we are not Fear Free certified, we practice many of the techniques throughout all areas of the practice. Despite only having a small reception area, we have managed to create separate dog and cat waiting areas which our clients appreciate.
We are an RCVS Accredited Vet Nurse Training Practice and are well equipped, with digital x-ray, ultrasound, K-Laser, endoscope and in-house lab facilities including a wide range of diagnostic tools. We believe in nurturing your interests and supporting career development.
We're looking for an RVN to join our existing team of RVNs, SVNs, and VCAs. Our full-time veterinary nurses generally work a 5-day week in a shift pattern of 8.30-4.30 or 11-7 with a half hour paid lunch break, but we are open to longer hours and fewer days if preferred. The Saturday morning rota is 1 in 3 (8.30am-11.30am), and we are not open Sundays or bank holidays. Our OOHs are outsourced to a nearby dedicated OOH service provider. Part time staff work varied rotas depending on their preferred schedule and we are open to being flexible with the rota - longer days but fewer or shorter hours based around childcare. We can be flexible with the rota, so if you would prefer part-time hours, or have other commitments to work around, we can develop a rota that works for you and your life.
For this role we would like to find a qualified veterinary nurse with an interest in all areas. A consulting or operating bias can be accommodated, and some administrative work will be involved. We have regular team meetings where everyone takes part and their input is valued. The nurses are very involved in the management of cases and we would like to expand their role in the management of chronic disease. Any special interests would be encouraged and supported with CPD.
We are a friendly team that like to have a chat while we work (good sense of humour preferred!). Please feel free to pop in and have a chat with members of the team if you're interested!
