Job Description

Due to a change in working patterns for our current team, we now have a vacancy for a veterinary receptionist to join our team at Flynn Vets, Commons Brae clinic, Saintfield Road, Belfast.

You will be the first point of contact for clients by telephone and in clinic and provide an excellent level of customer care. Duties will include organizing the clinic's diary, managing the waiting room and handling queries and payments and keeping the waiting area clean and tidy. You will be the essential link between our clients and vets.

A calm, can do attitude is a must, as you will be dealing with everything from first, happy visits to our clinic with puppies and kittens to end of life conversations and emergencies. You should be able to work under pressure as it is a busy and demanding role. You never know what the next call is going to bring!

Previous reception experience is essential and ideally you will have worked within the veterinary industry before. You should be computer literate and able to work with minimal supervision.

You will be joining with a great team who will support you in your role.

This is a part-time role, working around the hours our current team already cover. The clinic is open Monday to Friday, between 8am and 7pm. Shifts can be a mixture of early and late within these hours and some weekend cover will be required on a rota basis (Saturday 9am-5pm). We will try to accommodate requested shift patterns for the right candidate.
