Due to recent expansion we are now recruiting for another Veterinary Receptionist. If you have previously applied for this position and are still interested, we welcome your application. Preference will be given to: a) those who have experience with top level customer service and, b) also who can show an interest in animals whether it be from owning pets or having exposure to them another way.

Are you passionate about providing excellent customer service and do you love animals? Taylor Vets is seeking a friendly and organised person to join our Reception team! Our team is committed to delivering exceptional veterinary services in a welcoming and supportive environment. This role requires a love for client interaction and animals, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. 40 hours p/w split over 4 days including 1 in 4 Saturdays.

Responsibilities

Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, treatments, and general pet care. Maintain accurate patient records and manage billing processes. Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed. Ensure the reception area is tidy and organised at all times. Handle client concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues to the appropriate person when necessary.

Skills

No previous experience in this role is necessary, although experience in a client facing role providing first class service is essential. Full training will be given. Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for animal care. Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail. Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record management. Ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure whilst maintaining a positive attitude. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to enable interaction with clients is clear and effective.
