Job Description

The Oxford Cat Clinic is seeking a dedicated and professional Veterinary Receptionist to join our friendly, feline-focused team. In this important front-of-house role, you'll be the welcoming face of our cat-only practice, providing exceptional service to clients and their cats while helping ensure the smooth, efficient running of our clinic. Full training will be provided, so you'll have all the support you need to thrive in your role.

This is a full-time permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 8am-4pm, plus 1 Saturday in 4, 9am to 2pm with the Monday off after your working Saturday.

Key Responsibilities

Greet clients and their cats warmly, creating a calm and welcoming environment Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's diary efficiently Answer phone and email enquiries about services, treatments, and general pet care Maintain accurate patient records and update client information as needed Process payments and handle billing queries with accuracy and professionalism Support veterinary staff with general administrative tasks Keep the reception area clean, organised, and well-stocked Address client concerns with empathy and discretion

Requirements

Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care environment is desirable but not essential Excellent organisation and multitasking skills in a busy setting Friendly and professional communication skills, both in person and on the phone Competent in using computer systems for scheduling and record management A genuine passion for animal welfare A proactive, team-focused attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed
