We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a busy veterinary practice. Duties

Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations, ensuring efficient use of the clinic's time. Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries with accurate information regarding services offered. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up to date. Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail. Assist veterinary staff with laboratory tasks as needed, including sample collection and processing. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the reception area and waiting room. Handle client concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating issues to management when necessary.

Experience

Previous experience in a veterinary setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with laboratory procedures is an advantage but not essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required to interact effectively with clients and team members. Proficiency in using computer systems for scheduling and record keeping is essential. A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing excellent care is crucial for success in this role.
