About the Role
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced vet seeking a varied caseload with opportunities to develop in surgery or orthopaedics. You'll enjoy clinical freedom and the support of a well-equipped practice and experienced team. The rota is designed to give balance, with built-in time off following on-call shifts.
About the Practice
Operating across three branches in East Lancashire, the practice combines over 100 years of history with modern facilities and a progressive approach. The main site includes advanced equipment such as digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, dental suite with dental X-ray, multiparameter monitoring, in-house lab, and separate canine and feline wards.
You'll work alongside a large team including certificate holders in ECC, dentistry, and medicine, supported by dedicated night RVNs, many with additional qualifications. With visiting specialists in cardiology and ultrasound, you'll be able to develop your clinical skills across a high and varied caseload.
Location, Location, Location
Based in the beautiful East Lancashire region, the area offers countryside charm with easy access to urban amenities. The practice's location makes it ideal for those who enjoy nature, walking, or simply a relaxed lifestyle. An 8-week rolling rota is published in advance, helping you plan ahead with confidence.
Who We're Looking For
This role suits a confident small animal vet with an interest in further development--especially in surgery, orthopaedics, or ECC. Team fit, compassion, and a collaborative mindset are essential. Flexibility on hours can be discussed to suit your lifestyle and commitments.
