Video Editor and Content Creator

to join our growing business on its creative journey.

Role Overview



As a Video Editor & Content Creator at Blink Vivid, your primary role will be as our in-house editor at our office based in the centre of Sheffield. You will work closely with our two company directors to produce content for multiple client deadlines on a consistent basis. A competent understanding of basic video editing is essential.

In addition to editing, there will be opportunities to contribute to other areas of video and film production -- such as filming and editing behind-the-scenes content for our social channels and supporting our larger productions on set.

Please note: this role is a

part-time, 6-month contract

, with the intention to extend or transition to a

full-time position

after the initial period.

Key Responsibilities



Editing:

Edit raw footage into cohesive, engaging videos that align with client briefs, ensuring a high standard of visual and audio quality.

Collaborating:

Work closely with our creative team and clients to understand project objectives and deliver content that meets their goals.

Post-Production:

Manage all aspects of post-production, including colour correction, sound design, and motion graphics, as needed.

Video Production:

Create video content either as a solo videographer or by assisting larger crews in a variety of on-set roles.

Research:

Stay up to date with the latest trends in video marketing and editing techniques to continually improve our content.

Filming:

Capture high-quality video content on location for various projects, including corporate videos, promotional content, and creative short films.

Travel:

Travel to shooting locations, occasionally requiring overnight stays.

Requirements



Experience:

Proven experience as a Video Editor in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g. DaVinci Resolve, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and experience with professional camera equipment.

Creativity:

A strong eye for detail and a creative approach to problem-solving.

Communication:

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to take direction and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Flexibility:

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
