Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and experience in home care, particularly with clients suffering from dementia. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of our clients, enabling them to maintain their independence in a supportive environment.

Duties

Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions, reporting any changes to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Assist with meal preparation and ensure clients receive proper nutrition. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment. Facilitate mobility by assisting clients with walking or using mobility aids, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain accurate records of client care and progress, adhering to case management protocols. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as needed.

Skills

Proficient understanding of medical terminology relevant to caregiving. Experience in home care settings, particularly with dementia care. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families. Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility challenges. Knowledge of case management practices within a caregiving context. A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support. Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.00 per hour
