We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalised care in their homes or care facilities. This position requires a nurturing attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while following care plans.
Duties
Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
Administer medication as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
Support clients with dementia care and hospice care as needed.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring hygiene standards are met.
Document daily activities and report any changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate personnel.
Collaborate with case management teams to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic nature.
Experience in patient care, home care, or assisted living environments is advantageous.
Knowledge of dementia care practices and hospice care protocols is preferred.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively.
Excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
A valid driver's licence may be required depending on the role's location.
