We are currently looking for two Visitor Assistants to join us in providing a world-class customer experience.

Waltham Forest successfully became the Mayor of London\'s first-ever London Borough of Culture in 2019. It\'s an exciting time for culture and heritage in Waltham Forest. Our Destinations team work to deliver a range of exciting projects for all communities. The Visitor Assistant is a pivotal role in our commitment to providing a memorable and unique visitor experience at the William Morris Gallery.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated staff member to joining our Visitor team at William Morris Gallery. The successful candidate will be part of our front-line team welcoming our residents and visitors, providing support and customer service management. Proactive and people orientated, you will be crucial to the operational management of the venue and the delivery of a first-class, dynamic and engaged service. It would suit an individual with excellent communication skills and experience in a public venue environment and enthusiasm to develop a career in creative/heritage venue.

With the VSA role spanning numerous duties and tasks we are looking for someone who is able to adapt and deliver a consistent and excellent service across an array of areas. Through provision of excellent customer care and high-quality services, we are building our audiences to more closely reflect the diverse communities of Waltham Forest. Your role will be to engage our visitors to William Morris Gallery and support the activities, cultural programming as well as private venue hire. You will be responsible for the safety and security of visitors and the collections on display, including general housekeeping, and will provide high quality front of house services. You will have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills and experience of working in a fast-paced environment. A flexible \'can do\' attitude is essential.

William Morris Gallery

The beautiful Georgian house, set in Lloyd Park is home to the only public gallery devoted to the life and works of the famed arts and crafts designer. The Grade II listed building, once the Morris\'s family home, it\'s now a creative hub that showcases the work of William Morris, and his legacy. From wide-ranging creative collaborations and events, to talks, performances, family activities and an onsite shop and caf\xc3\xa9 for all to enjoy. The William Morris Gallery operates 6 days a week. We are currently looking to recruit new members to the team, who will work alternate weekends and weekdays.
