ABOUT THIS ROLE
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a busy arts venue working with outdoor sculptures from the permanent collection and temporary indoor exhibitions. This role primarily involves invigilating the artworks/exhibitions and providing excellent customer service to all visitors.
A range of shift patterns are available for the right candidates. The Estate is open daily for guests until end of October and Thursday-Sunday during the winter months.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
Provide excellent and proactive customer service
Develop in-depth knowledge of the permanent collection, gallery exhibitions and all aspects of Jupiter Artland in order to enhance visitor experience
Invigilate all indoor & outdoor artwork to ensure that the security of the artworks is not compromised.
Host Swim Sessions which include greeting and checking tickets for visitors booked in for Bathing Sessions at our Gateway swimming pool. Manage the queue, show visitors to the changing room and give short health and safety briefings.
Adhere to health and safety regulations both indoors and outdoors, being aware of disability and access requirements and assisting the public in emergency evacuation situations.
Essential Skills
Experience of reception, retail or other customer service roles preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Interest in, and knowledge of, contemporary visual arts
Awareness of access issues and disability awareness
Awareness of Health & Safety
