The North Norfolk Railway operates steam and heritage diesel trains through beautiful coastal countryside between the Georgian town of Holt and the smart Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham. The 5 mile line is largely operated by volunteers, attracting around 150,000 passengers each year. It is one of the County's most popular tourist attractions and hosts a series of popular annual events including the Forties Weekend in September and the acclaimed Norfolk Lights Express in November and December.

We are now seeking a

Visitor Experience & Stations Supervisor

to join the small and friendly team of paid staff to enhance the experience of visitors by ensuring station facilities and activities are open, operate smoothly, are kept clean and tidy, provide an excellent level of service and contribute to the profitability of the organisation.

The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, have the ability to stay calm under pressure, have an outgoing personality and be able to enthuse volunteers and staff alike and be willing to lead by example when necessary..

Reporting to the Assistant Visitor Experience Manager and working across all three of our stations, the postholder will play a key role in delivering excellent service for passengers and supporting the volunteers that help make run and care for the stations. Knowledge of working with volunteers is desirable and experience in a tourism or hospitality environment would be an advantage.

This is a full-time position (average of 40 hours per week) which includes weekday, weekend and Bank Holiday working.
