Shop Assistant & Visual Merchandiser - Part Time
Carpenter's Nursery & Farm Shop, St Albans
Part-time, minimum 20 hours per week (including some weekends)
About us
Carpenter's Nursery & Farm Shop has been owned and run by the Carpenter family for over 100 years. We grow a wide range of seasonal vegetables on site, work with fantastic local suppliers, and stock artisan food & drink, gifts, and gardening essentials.
We're now looking for a creative and enthusiastic
Shop Assistant with visual merchandising experience
to join our friendly team.Key responsibilities
Create and refresh
seasonal, eye-catching displays
across food, gifts and gardening. Deliver outstandingcustomer service
, sharing knowledge and passion for produce. Operate tills and process customer purchases accurately. Order and administer products using ourEPOS retail system
. Maintain high standards ofmerchandising, stock rotation and housekeeping
. Support with stock replenishment, stock taking, lifting and moving stock.What we're looking for
Experience in a
Garden Centre, Farm Shop, Deli or similar retail environment
. A creative eye and flair forvisual merchandising
. A genuine passion forseasonality, local produce, food, gifts and gardening
. Friendly, flexible and professional with excellent customer service skills. Confident using tills and computers. A team player who can also work independently.What we offer
