Job Description
Artyfacts delivers unique art classes to primary, Infant, and Junior schools in Brighton and Hove. Art clubs run after school, 3-4 days a week, at various schools on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 3 to 5 pm. Each class has approx. There are 30 children, with a child-to-adult ratio of 8:1.
Roles include:
Setting up venues for the children's arrival. Encouraging children in their projects Assimilating art skills Preparing children for the collection and meeting their parents. Tidying up after sessions.
I am looking for two
volunteer teaching assistants to start in October 2025, who are available to help
on Tuesday afternoons from 3:00 to 5:30 and can commit for a term.The position would suit a person who values children and is punctual, reliable, and has initiative, as well as a willingness to work hard and get messy. Knowledge of artistic techniques and experience working with children is a bonus.
Secure a place at the PGCE level through the work experience and references received from volunteering.
I have 30 years of teaching experience, and I am a qualified Art Therapist and artist, with an enthusiasm for sharing my knowledge.
I can provide DBS checks and invaluable teaching experience, along with references upon request, after completing two terms.
