We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Volunteer Assistant to support our organisation's initiatives and community outreach programmes. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about public health, fundraising, and community engagement. As a Volunteer Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting with various projects, educating the community, and helping to manage social media efforts to promote our mission.

Duties

Assist in the planning and execution of community outreach events and fundraising activities. Support project management tasks by coordinating schedules, resources, and volunteer efforts. Educate community members about public health initiatives and available resources. Supervise volunteers during events to ensure smooth operations and provide guidance as needed. Manage social media accounts by creating engaging content to market our programmes and events. Perform administrative tasks such as data entry, record keeping, and maintaining volunteer schedules. Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for effective community engagement.

Qualifications

Previous experience in public health or related fields is advantageous but not mandatory. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team of volunteers. Excellent project management skills with an organised approach to task completion. Proficient in social media management and marketing techniques to enhance outreach efforts. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to educate diverse audiences. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
