Job Description

:

Volunteer Business Coach / Mentor (Founder's Coach)

Remote | Flexible Hours | Voluntary Role

About Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C.

Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C. is a grassroots organisation tackling one of the most urgent and unspoken crises within the Black British/Caribbean community - the hidden pandemic of child sexual abuse (CSA). Our mission is to break generational cycles of silence, create safe spaces for truth-telling, and build stronger, more resilient families and communities. Guided by the values of Knowledge of Self, Each One Teach One, and Love as Law, our work is grounded in Garveyite principles and natural law.

The Role - Volunteer Business Coach/Mentor (Founder's Coach)

As Founder, I am seeking a dedicated mature

Volunteer Business Coach/Mentor

to work directly with me. This is not a team role - it is a personal mentoring position for my own growth and leadership as I guide the organisation into its next stages.

I am looking for someone who can act as a trusted advisor, a sounding board, and a strategic guide as I navigate the demands of building and scaling a social impact movement. This is an opportunity to directly influence the success and expansion of a CIC addressing one of the most critical and overlooked issues of our time.

What I Am Looking For in a Mentor/Coach:

Proven experience in startups and scaling organisations

, particularly where growth involved managing teams, operations, and strategy.

Well-read and intellectually curious

, with interests across multiple subjects - business, culture, psychology, leadership, and beyond.

Life experience as well as academic grounding

, bringing wisdom that blends theory with lived reality.

Strong personality match

- someone confident, resilient, and decisive, who can challenge me and also sharpen my focus.

Availability and flexibility

- someone I can check in with when needed for guidance, feedback, or to problem-solve key challenges.

Cultural sensitivity

- while the role doesn't require a specific background, an awareness of the dynamics of the Black British/Caribbean community is

essential

.

Why This Role Is Vital

This mentorship role is crucial because the strength of this organisation flows from its leadership. Having the right coach in my corner ensures that I can grow not only the CIC but also the structures, people, and systems that will sustain it for generations.

Important - Voluntary Role

This is

100% a voluntary position

. There is no financial payment for this role other than expenses fully covered. Please only apply if you are open to contributing your time and expertise voluntarily. As the organisation grows and generates funding, there will be the possibility of transitioning into a formal, paid role - but at this stage, it is

voluntary only.
