Summary

As a Volunteer Coordinator at NHS Professionals, you will play a vital role in managing and supporting our volunteer workforce. This position is based at Highgate West Mental Health Centre in London and is essential for fostering a collaborative environment that enhances the overall effectiveness of our healthcare services.

Responsibilities

Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement initiatives. Supervise and support volunteers to ensure they are effectively contributing to our mission. Educate volunteers about their roles and responsibilities within the NHS framework. Manage projects related to volunteer programs, ensuring timely execution and evaluation. Develop leadership opportunities for volunteers to enhance their skills and career progression. Utilize social media platforms to promote volunteer opportunities and engage with potential candidates. Assist in fundraising efforts to support volunteer programs and initiatives. Perform administrative tasks related to volunteer management, including record-keeping and reporting.

Requirements

Proven experience in supervising teams or volunteers in a healthcare or community setting. Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously. Excellent communication skills for educating and engaging with volunteers. Leadership experience that demonstrates the ability to inspire and motivate others. Familiarity with public health principles is beneficial but not essential. Experience with social media management is a plus for promoting volunteer activities.
