The Hive Youth Zone is looking for a

Volunteer Dance Teacher

to support our

junior session on Wednesdays (3:45-8:15pm)

.

At The Hive we give young people somewhere to go, something to do and someone to talk to. You'll play a key role in helping children and young people build confidence, express themselves and have loads of fun through dance.

What you'll be doing

Planning and delivering fun, engaging dance sessions for our junior members Teaching basic techniques, routines and performance skills in a supportive way Encouraging confidence, teamwork and creativity Adapting activities so all abilities and needs are included Being a positive role model and building great relationships with young people Helping to set up/pack away and keep the studio safe and welcoming
We're looking for someone who:

Has experience in dance (any style - street, commercial, contemporary, musical theatre etc.) Enjoys working with children and young people Is friendly, patient and encouraging Can commit to most Wednesdays, 3:45-8:15pm Is happy to volunteer within our safeguarding and health & safety guidelines
A teaching qualification isn't essential - passion, reliability and a willingness to get stuck in are what matter most.
