Job Summary

We are seeking a enthusiastic and dedicated Volunteer Driver to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about contributing to the community. this will involve collecting food across Eastbourne from our partnered shops. transporting surplus food to the food bank, local schools or other charity's in Eastbourne. We collect donations from people across Eastbourne and the surrounding areas to support our charity shop.

Duties

Assist with the transportation of goods and materials using the company vehicle. Perform delivery driver tasks, ensuring timely and safe delivery of items. Engage with the Hall Manager and Kitchen Supervisor to support in the organisation of donated food , and logistics support. Communicate effectively with team members and the centre manager to ensure smooth operations. Support various projects and initiatives as directed by the Hall Manager and Kitchen Supervisor. Load and unload the van and assist with sorting the food into the different departments

Requirements

Previous experience as a delivery driver is advantageous. To hold an valid driving licence for two years, with a clean driving record is essential; commercial driving experience is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members, partnered businesses and customers. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while being self-motivated.
