Job Description

Kent Association for the Blind is a Kent based charity supporting people with sight loss in Kent, Medway and the London Borough of Bromley.

We are looking for some volunteer drivers to help with a group which meets weekly on a Thursday in Maidstone, it is a small but popular group and we currently have a waiting list for people who would like to attend the group but cannot because of a lack of transport.

The group meet at our Sight Centre in College Road, Maidstone and the volunteer would be collecting the clients from their homes and returning to drop them back home again at the end of the session.

Access to a car is essential for this position, we do pay mileage cover other expenses if necessary.

Training is provided and support is available by phone if you have any queries. This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check which is free for all volunteers.

Please note that this is a volunteer position and is not a paid position.
