Volunteer Role: Fundraising Team Member

Time commitment:

Flexible - even just a couple of hours a month helps!

Reports to:

Group Scout Leader / Fundraising Lead

Purpose of the Role:

To help raise vital funds that support amazing opportunities for local young people - from camps and activities to equipment and facilities. Whether you're full of ideas or just happy to lend a hand, you'll be part of a team that makes a big difference.

What You'll Do:

Help organise fundraising events (bake sales, raffles, quiz nights, etc.) Support grant applications or local funding bids Build links with local businesses for sponsorship or raffle prizes Suggest new fundraising ideas and campaigns Share and promote fundraising efforts within the local community Work as part of a friendly, enthusiastic team

Skills and Qualities We're Looking For:

Enthusiasm and a positive attitude - no fundraising experience needed! Creative thinking or organisational skills Confidence talking to local people, businesses or groups (optional) Team player - happy to help out wherever needed A commitment to Scouting values
