Blossom Group is a grassroots community organisation offering a welcoming space for all. We provide practical support and advice, especially for the most vulnerable members of society, in a range of community languages. Our work includes wellbeing sessions, community meet-ups, and guidance on everyday issues -- all delivered with empathy, cultural understanding, and respect.

Role Overview:


We are seeking a volunteer Social Media Developer to help grow our online presence. This role is vital in making our services visible, accessible, and relatable to the diverse communities we serve. You'll help create and share content that informs, inspires, and connects people across different cultures and age groups.

Key Responsibilities:



Create and manage social media content across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and others

Share updates about our services, events, and community stories

Develop posts that are clear, friendly, and inclusive -- with support to offer translations where possible

Help coordinate digital campaigns around key themes (e.g. mental health, cost of living support, language access)

Monitor engagement and assist in responding to messages or comments

Suggest new ideas, tools, or approaches to help reach more people online

What We're Looking For:



Someone passionate about community work and digital communication

Experience using social media tools like Canva, Buffer, or Meta Business Suite

Creativity and an understanding of different audiences and tones

Ability to work independently, with support from a friendly team

Awareness of cultural and language diversity -- multilingual abilities are a plus

A commitment to inclusion, empathy, and ethical communication
