Purpose of the Role
FAITH is seeking a
volunteer Social Media Manager
to help shape and grow our online presence across
Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
. This role is ideal for someone who is creative, organised, and passionate about digital storytelling -- particularly in amplifying
faith-based community initiatives and educational work
.
You will help us share our message, strengthen visibility, and build engagement with Imams, teachers, healers, and community partners across the UK.
Role Overview
Position:
Volunteer Social Media Manager
Commitment:
Approx. 2-3 hours per week (flexible)
Duration:
6-12 months (renewable)
Reports to:
FAITH Communications Lead / Founder
Main Responsibilities1. Content Creation & Posting
Create
3 short-form video reels per week
(from existing event clips, interviews, or quote videos).
Design
2 branded posters per week
(announcements, hadith/quote graphics, upcoming events).
Ensure all content aligns with
FAITH's vision, values, and professional tone
.
Use scheduling tools (e.g.,
Meta Business Suite
,
Later
, or
Canva
) to post consistently and efficiently.
2. Basic Branding & Design
Apply a consistent
visual identity
: fonts, colour palette, and logo use.
Help refine
social media templates
for posts and stories.
Occasionally refresh
banners or highlights
for seasonal campaigns.
3. Engagement & Visibility Strategy
Develop a simple
3-month content plan
that includes:
Key themes: Faith, Education, Healing, Leadership*. Awareness days and campaign tie-ins.
Repost opportunities from partner organisations.
Track engagement (likes, shares, comments) and share light
monthly feedback
with the team.
4. Collaboration
Work closely with FAITH's core team to gather
updates, photos, and stories
Attend a short
monthly check-in
(online) to review goals and upcoming events.
Tools & Support Provided
Access to
FAITH's Canva Pro workspace
for design and scheduling.
Access to FAITH's
photo, video, and branding library
.
Regular support, mentoring, and content ideas from the Founder and team.
Training and guidance on faith-based storytelling and visual communication.
Expected Outcomes
By the end of the volunteer period, the Social Media Manager will help FAITH achieve:
A consistent posting rhythm and clear brand identity across all platforms.
Increased visibility and engagement among Imams, teachers, and community members. A stronger online narrative that reflects FAITH's mission, professionalism, and heart.
