Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated young people to join our team as Volunteer Coaching Assistants during our school holiday sports camps. This opportunity is ideal for anyone interested in sports coaching, teaching, or working with children.

You will support our lead coaches in delivering fun, safe, and engaging sports sessions, while gaining valuable hands-on experience and learning what it takes to lead activities in a professional environment.

This voluntary role is designed as a development opportunity. Volunteers who demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm, and readiness may be offered paid coaching positions at future camps or after-school clubs once sufficient experience has been gained.

Duties

Support lead coaches in setting up and running sports and activity sessions. Engage with children positively, encouraging participation and teamwork. Observe experienced coaches to learn coaching techniques and activity management. Help supervise groups during games, breaks, and transitions. Maintain high standards of behaviour, safety, and inclusivity. Lead group activities and games
Shift Options

Volunteers can choose their preferred schedule:

Full day: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM Morning half-day: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Afternoon half-day: 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Volunteers can mix and match days and times depending on their availability.

What You'll Gain

Requirements

Aged 16-18 with a genuine interest in sports and youth development. Reliable, enthusiastic, and eager to learn. Confident working with children in a team environment. Punctual and professional in attitude. No formal qualifications required -- training and mentoring will be provided.
Expenses

This is an unpaid voluntary role. Travel expenses will be reimbursed.
