Duties
Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
Take accurate orders and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff
Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation
Check on guests regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities
Handle payments accurately using the point-of-sale system
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of service areas, including tables, trays, and workstations
Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations diligently
Assist with food preparation when necessary, supporting kitchen staff during busy periods
Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure smooth service flow
Skills
Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred
Knowledge of serving techniques and food safety standards
Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately
Familiarity with food preparation and kitchen operations is advantageous
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently during busy hours
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanour
Ability to upsell menu items tactfully to enhance the guest experience
Good organisational skills to manage multiple tables and responsibilities simultaneously
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
