Duties
Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted.
Serve meals and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards.
Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities.
Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the service area before, during, and after shifts.
Handle guest enquiries professionally and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Assist with food preparation when required, adhering to food safety standards.
Process payments accurately using the point-of-sale system.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and daily specials to inform guests effectively.
Skills
Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and standards.
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods.
Good organisational skills with effective time management abilities.
Basic maths skills for handling bills and transactions accurately.
Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations is beneficial.
Culinary experience or familiarity with restaurant operations can enhance performance.
