We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our vibrant team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, a keen sense of hospitality, and the ability to thrive in a busy kitchen setting.

Responsibilities

Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area efficiently and accurately. Ensure that all orders are complete and presented beautifully before serving to guests. Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed, maintaining high standards of food safety. Engage with guests to provide excellent service, addressing any questions or concerns regarding menu items. Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth operation during busy periods. Upsell menu items where appropriate to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential. Strong understanding of food safety practices and culinary basics. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders accurately. A passion for guest services and providing an outstanding dining experience. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated when required. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as needed.
