Job Title: Night Support Worker (Children)Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team, providing essential care and support to children in a nurturing and compassionate environment. As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in ensuring the well-being and development of children in our care.

Your Responsibilities:

Foster a culture that places children at the center of all that we do, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development. Provide high-quality care and support tailored to the individual needs of each child. Assist in the assessment and implementation of individual care plans and risk assessments. Support children in their daily routines, including mealtimes, recreational activities, life skills, appointments, and education. Build positive and trusting relationships with children, their families, and external professionals, maintaining effective communication. Administer and record medication as required, following appropriate guidelines and protocols. Maintain a safe and supportive environment that encourages the growth and development of children. Attend and actively participate in team meetings, training sessions, and supervision meetings. Work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and bank holidays, as required. Undertake sleep-in duties as part of the rota system, ensuring children are supported during the night if needed.
Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children in a residential care setting. Strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding procedures. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work well under pressure and handle challenging situations with professionalism. Relevant qualifications in social care or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 2 in Children and Young People or equivalent). Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-ins, as per shift patterns. Commitment to working shifts, including weekends, nights, and bank holidays, on a rota basis.
Please Note:

This is a full-time role, and the service operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Shifts include days, evenings, nights, sleep-ins, weekends, and bank holidays. The role is subject to a 6-month probationary period.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 12.21-12.35 per hour
