Rachel kathryn residential home based in argoed is looking to recruit a new member of staff to join our team

The Hours of work will be 3 wake in nights per week (36 hours per week ) Tuesday /Wednesday and Thursday nights experience working nights is preferred but not essential the successful applicant will be required to cover additional hours to cover annual leave and sickness

Experience of working with individuals with learning, physical and mental health and experience in a similar role and a level 2 qualification in care is required

Responsibilities

Provide personal care and support to clients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition. Develop and implement care plans tailored to individual client needs. Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients. Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being. Support clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary. Maintain accurate records of client progress and any changes in behaviour or health status. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care is provided. Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients. Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a nursing home, care home, or similar environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology and experience in patient care is beneficial. willingness to undertake training if not already certified. Strong communication skills and the ability to manage behaviour effectively. Experience in case management or caregiving is advantageous. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients when necessary.
