About the Role

We are a family-run, 4-bed children's residential home providing care for young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Waking Night Support Worker to ensure the safety, stability, and wellbeing of the children in our care throughout the night. Your role will be essential in maintaining a calm, secure environment and supporting continuity of care between night and day teams.

Key Responsibilities

Provide consistent emotional and practical support during night hours Ensure the safety, welfare, and security of all children in the home Respond calmly and appropriately to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies Complete regular checks and maintain accurate logs and records Work collaboratively with the daytime team to ensure seamless care Follow safeguarding procedures and implement individual care plans effectively
Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience in residential childcare or EBD settings (preferred) Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (preferred) Calm, observant, and empathetic, especially under pressure Strong communication and record-keeping abilities Able to work independently and remain alert throughout the night Full UK driving licence (preferred)
