About the Role:
As a Waking Night Support Worker, you'll be a trusted presence throughout the night -- ensuring the safety, comfort, and wellbeing of the people we support while the world is quiet. Your alertness and empathy will provide vital reassurance and care when it's needed most. This is your chance to be part of something meaningful, every night.
Shift Pattern:
You'll work on a consistent
2-week rolling rota
, giving you the structure you need to balance work and personal life:
Week 1:
Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
Week 2:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
This pattern offers both continuity and regular time off -- perfect for maintaining work-life balance while doing a job that matters.
What You'll Do:
Carry out regular wellbeing checks and respond swiftly to any needs during the night.
Offer emotional reassurance and practical support to individuals who may be anxious or unsettled.
Deliver personal care where required, always promoting dignity and independence.
Maintain a calm, clean, and safe environment by completing nightly cleaning routines in line with infection control standards.
Keep detailed records of nightly activities, incidents, and care provided.
Ensure smooth communication with day staff through thorough and accurate handovers.
Uphold all health, safety, safeguarding and care policies.
What We're Looking For:
Compassionate, attentive and reliable individuals who can stay alert and proactive throughout the night.
A commitment to maintaining dignity, respect and independence for every individual in your care.
Willingness to work towards a Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care.
A team player who understands the importance of communication, cleanliness, and confidentiality.
A basic understanding of (or willingness to learn) care-related legislation, best practice and the Social Care Codes of Practice.
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
