We are currently recruiting
Waking Night Support Workers
to provide overnight support to a
female service user with epilepsy
, ensuring safety, reassurance and a calm environment throughout the night.
About the Role
This is a
waking night position
, where you will remain awake throughout the shift to provide monitoring, support and reassurance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Monitoring and supporting a female service user overnight, including the
management of seizures in line with care plans and protocols
Responding calmly and appropriately to seizures or changes in presentation
Providing reassurance and emotional support during the night
Completing regular checks and maintaining a safe environment
Carrying out
light household duties
to help maintain a clean, safe and habitable living environment (e.g. tidying, light cleaning, preparing for the morning)
Recording accurate night notes, handovers and any incidents
Following all safeguarding, health and safety and medication procedures
Working in line with person-centred care plans and risk assessments
Full training will be provided
, including epilepsy awareness and emergency procedures.
Pay rates dependent on experience.
Requirements
Epilepsy experience is advantageous
, but not essential

Must be in good health and physically able to carry out waking night duties safely
, including remaining alert throughout the shift and responding appropriately in emergency situations.
Compassionate, calm and reliable approach
Reliable
Ability to remain awake, attentive and responsive throughout night shifts
Good communication and record-keeping skills
Ability to work nights as part of a rota, including weekends
