We are a passionate, family run service with over 25 years collective experience working with Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults services across the Gloucestershire Area. We provide person centered support and housing for Children, Young People where previous trauma continues to impact on their life.

We are looking to recruit candidates who are committed to making a difference, have fun, actively support and develop Children, Young People with their journey to independence.

Job Purpose:



The Waking Night Manager will play a crucial role in creating a safe and supportive environment for residents/clients, recognising the importance of trauma-informed care. They will oversee the night-time operations of Streetz Ahead Creative Housing, ensuring safety, security, and well-being while also managing a team of night staff who provide compassionate and trauma-informed support.

Key Responsibilities:



Supervision and Leadership:

Provide leadership and guidance to the night staff team, emphasising trauma-informed approaches to care.
Conduct regular staff meetings and performance evaluations, embedding and valuing the importance of trauma-informed practices in their interactions.

Safety and Security:

Monitor the premises to ensure a safe and secure environment, using a trauma-informed lens to anticipate and mitigate potential triggers.
Respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents, employing techniques to support individuals during stressful situations.
Maintain accurate incident reports, with sensitivity when recording or reporting practices.

Client Support:

Ensure residents/clients receive the appropriate level of support during the night, recognising and respecting their unique histories and triggers.
Administer medications and provide basic medical assistance as needed, employing gentle and supportive support techniques.
Respond to any client needs or concerns, prioritising safety and emotional well-being.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions and incidents, ensuring supportive language and reporting practices are followed.
Compile reports for management as required, always taking into account the impact of trauma and ensuring GDPR compliance.

Training and Development:

Provide training and support to night staff, including new employees, with an emphasis on creating a safe and supportive environment.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, particularly in trauma-informed care practices.

Collaboration:

Work closely with day shift staff, external agencies, and professionals, to ensure seamless, sensitive, and empathetic care and support and be responsible for on-call

Administrative Tasks:

Complete administrative tasks as per your managers checklist.

Person Specification:



Qualifications:



Minimum of a two years in a Deputy position as minimum Level three Health and social care, level 5 preferred

Experience:



years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the care/support industry with a demonstrated understanding and application of trauma-informed care practices. years of supervisory or management experience, with a focus on therapeutic practices and coaching leadership.

Skills and Abilities:



Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficient in trauma-informed, therapeutic practices and first aid, adhering to UK healthcare guidelines. Knowledge of relevant UK laws, regulations, and company policies Organised and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask effectively

Personal Qualities:



Compassionate, empathetic, and patient Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations, to provide a stabilizing presence. Trustworthy and able to handle confidential information with discretion, in alignment with UK data protection laws. Flexible and adaptable to changing situations or priorities, demonstrating resilience and empathy.

Valid UK driver's license beneficial Clear enhanced DBS Strong leadership skills
