We are seeking an enthusiastic and charismatic Tour Guide to provide engaging and informative experiences to tourists. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading groups through various attractions, sharing historical, cultural, or specialised knowledge, and ensuring visitors have an enjoyable and memorable experience. Responsibilities
Lead organised tours around designated sites, ensuring visitor safety and engagement throughout the experience.
Share detailed information about the site's history, significance, and interesting facts in an engaging manner.
Answer questions from visitors, providing personalised insights where appropriate.
Manage group logistics, including maintaining a steady pace and ensuring all participants adhere to safety guidelines.
Assist with ticketing or registration processes as required.
Ensure the presentation of the site remains clean, safe, and welcoming at all times.
Provide excellent customer service by creating a friendly atmosphere and addressing visitor needs promptly.
Skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage audiences of all ages.
Strong organisational skills to manage groups efficiently and keep tours running smoothly.
Knowledge of local history, culture, or specialised topics relevant to the tour is desirable.
Friendly, approachable demeanour with a passion for sharing knowledge and creating memorable experiences.
Ability to adapt to different audiences and handle unexpected situations calmly and professionally.
Previous experience in guiding or customer service roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
