Nursery Kitchen Assistant

Monday- Friday all year round

9am-2pm

The Role

Jancett Childcare are seeking a Kitchen Assistant. We are looking for someone who is hard working and willing to support the kitchen team. You should have the ability to work quickly and effectively. The ideal person will have good communication skills and be able to follow instructions well.

Your tasks will include:

To maintain a clean, tidy and hygienic kitchen at all times complying with the companies Policies and Procedures and Environmental Health regulations

The kitchen is a working environment with all practices compiling with food safety regulations

Be aware of manual handling and risk assessments when dealing with Heavy equipment/delivery of food into the kitchen

The cleaning of all equipment based in the kitchen

To regulate kitchen stock control and collate food purchasing orders as appropriate, first in first out

To meet Health and safety and environmental health requirements always

To be aware of food allergies

To have a good knowledge and awareness of Health and safety issues including COSHH

To be able to work as part of a team and on your own initiative

The Hours & Salary

The salary is 12.50 per hour
Monday to Friday - between 9am and 2pm, however there will be occasions when overtime will be available
