Job Summary
Based in the residential area of Earlsheaton, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, This Hospital provides 32 beds, divided into two 16-bed wards for male patients who have mental health disorders. We also offer neuropsychiatry support, support for older people and dementia, community-focused rehabilitation, and support for severe and enduring mental health.
Although Dewsbury is not a 24/7 acute hospital, we are well-placed to provide support to acute patients within our dementia services, for those who require an alternative setting to an acute psychiatric ward. Admissions can also take place due to other placement breakdowns (either from their home or other care environment), or from prison settings
Ward 1 - 16 bedded unit for males with neuro-cognitive disorders and presenting with neuropsychiatric symptoms
Ward 2 - 16 bedded, high dependency inpatient rehabilitation ward for males with multiple or severe co-morbid conditions, significant risk histories and behaviours that challenge

This is an excellent opportunity for somebody looking to join an established team caring for two groups of patients with Neurodegenerative disorder and Mental illnesses requiring rehabilitation. You will work closely with other members of the MDT and be supported by the site Consultant Psychiatrist
Role & Requirements
To provide Clinical Management and Leadership of the full nursing team on the Ward, this includes being a highly visible role model and mentor to the nursing team.
The post-holder has responsibility for overseeing and maintaining the highest standards of nursing care. The role will act as a senior clinical member of the team, providing advice and support from a nursing perspective and oversee and hold responsibility for the ward environment and its resources
