You will either be a qualified nurse or hold a clinical professional qualification within a multi-disciplinary profession and will lead a team of nursing and MDT staff to ensure clinical excellence and outstanding care are delivered at all times.

This is a male medium secure ward that will provide care and treatment for working age males with mental illnesses. You will work closely with the other male wards and clinical teams to ensure the pathways between the wards/services are maximised and meet patients\' needs as they progress through treatment and recovery.

You will lead by example and inspire those around you to provide exceptional care and operational and clinical excellence on the ward. As part of the management team, you will work with colleagues and senior leaders to lead your team and achieve CQC outstanding.

The role of the Nurse Manager/Ward Manager

You will have managerial and operational responsibility for your ward and all aspects of performance. Your effective day-to-day nursing leadership and operational management will be key to maintaining excellence across all areas of nursing and care. There is also plenty of scope for innovation as we\'ll expect you to lead processes to improve the quality and operational management of your wards even further.

What you will need for this role

You will have management experience ideally in a deputy manager, manager, or senior leader position, and will be a strong communicator who can lead by example, implement new procedures and embed existing practices with a team. A positive outlook, strong leadership skills and excellent communication skills are vital. We want our Managers to inspire teams and set a clear and compelling vision, so you\'ll need to be able to influence and support everyone around you and be enthusiastic and positive about change.
