To work according to the Code and within Trust policies To be accountable for the twenty four hour care delivery and management of the ward, including the supervision of students. To provide a clear focus for clinical leadership and be responsible for ensuring the provision of a high standard of holistic, patient-centred care To be accountable for co-ordinating patient care, the management of resources and performance of staff To be responsible and accountable for the Finance and Human Resources issues directly related to the ward To be responsible and accountable for the implementation of Audit, Quality and Risk Management initiatives To promote and participate in the implementation of the ASPH Nursing & Midwifery strategy and objectives To maintain a visible presence in the ward, undertaking clinical work as per roster agreement To work in conjunction with the Matron / Senior ward team / Practice Educator & Learning Development Teams / Specialist teams
