Broad Function

Responsible for covering all the Departments planning, purchasing, forecasting, data entry, stock control, Quality and all Supplier activities for the Inventory and General stock items, within the Warehouse & Distribution function.


Principal Responsibilities

To perform all import/export shipment activities ensuring labelling, packing, stock movement, temperature monitoring, customs compliance, reconciliation and shipping documentation is correct. To ensure all import/export licenses and shipping contracts are maintained and valid. To follow Health and Safety guidelines and procedures as issued by the company. Support Department Quality compliance activities by ensuring all SOP, Change Controls, Audits, Events, Work instructions, 6S programs and other Quality requirements are highlighted for completion by agreed dates. Support Change Controls, Quality Events, Quality documents and Validation documents. Responsible for maintenance of stock levels for all raw materials applying Lean principles and techniques to the stock holding strategy to maximise stock turnover whilst minimising stock out issues and obsolescence. Support the maintenance of Purchasing records in relation to key Supplier and Product details, Quality Issues, Supplier Performance and Supply Chain Risk Assessments. Using electronic stock system (PAS-X & GP), support maintenance of minimum stock levels and ensuring purchase orders are in place to support the MPS, Development or any other requirements. Provide month end discard information for cost accounting and stock reconciliation. Support preparation of reports for: Monthly inventory V target; Quality inspection and release, all Spend; Supplier Evaluation, Stock Analysis, Visual Factory, Quality council, and Stores KPI measures. Support the control and display compliance with MSS Customs procedures. Support the maintenance and request TSE statements for product contact items to maintain compliance. Carry out continuous improvement activities and projects to improve the Financial, Quality, HSE, Training and Customer performance of the Department. Support Stores cycle counting, stock control and other general activities to maintain both Financial and GMP compliance in the Department. Assist with Supplier Agreements, deal with Supplier complaints, returns and meetings. Raise Change Management Notifications to introduce new suppliers or products. Raise events on the Quality system. Responsible for Serum movements into WAL site, as well as off site storage facilities. Monitor and replenish suitable stock levels across UK storage facilities as agreed with line manager and support serum use in a FIFO manner as aligned with Production needs. Ensuring that all interactions and engagements are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards and that all work is accomplished with quality and in accordance with SERB values. Carry out other reasonable tasks as required by the Line Manager.



Education and Experience

Ideally educated to HND/C or degree standard and / or with extensive experience in similar role. IT literate with Microsoft experience.


Skills and Attributes

Excellent communicator Self-motivated - ability to work with minimal supervision. Numerate, methodical with a high level of attention to detail Strong organisational skills with an ability to plan ahead and handle several activities at once. Able to analyse, challenge and recommend Improvements
