Overview

Gym Gear supply and fit commercial gym equipment nationwide from our 20,000sqft warehouse in Preston. We are seeking a highly motivated and organised Warehouse and Logistics Manager to oversee our warehouse operation and deliveries. This role will be responsible for ensuring that the warehouse operates safely, efficiently and effectively. The role also involves managing logistics, ensuring our inbound and outbound deliveries are well organised and run smoothly. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient management of our supply chain, from shipping and receiving to warehouse management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, with a focus on process improvement and continuous enhancement of operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Management of the Warehouse team, which will involve reviewing daily workloads & organisation of picking, packaging and goods in. Management of delivery team, to plan and organise deliveries efficiently. Work closely with the sales and management team to ensure fulfilment runs seamlessly. Ensure all aspects of training are completed for warehouse and delivery staff and their continual development Manage holiday requests, back to work interviews following sickness absence and any disciplinary matters relating to the warehouse and delivery team with support from the senior management team. Ensure efficient warehouse operations and inventory management are upheld at all times, including regular stock taking. Implement health and safety protocols across all warehouse activities. Design and implement improved warehouse processes and layout. Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and reduce operational costs Lead and motivate team to foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Qualifications & Skills:

Proven experience in warehouse management. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Strong leadership and decision-making abilities. Exceptional communication and organizational skills. FLT licence

Education & Experience:

5+ years of experience in a warehouse management / operational management role. Experience working within a distribution setting is highly desirable.

Pay: 30,000.00-34,000.00 per year
